Researchers in China have found that many animals are actually able to predict earthquakes to varying levels of success.

It’s come to light that snakes are the most reliable, sensing earthquakes from as far as 75 miles away (121 km).

What’s more impressive is that they can sense an earthquake as many as five days before it actually occurs!

When a snake senses an earthquake, it will run (or slither, in this case) away from its nest, even in the darkest days of winter.

Long have philosophers pondered the humble banana, arguing until the sun goes down as to why they’re curved.

It turns out that bananas go through a process called “negative geo-tropism,” which causes them to grow upwards towards the sun instead of towards the ground.

This, in turn, gives the banana its familiar curved shape.

The London Bridge, originally constructed in 1831, was starting to fall apart by the 1960s.

As a result, the City of London decided to sell it and build another.

It was taken apart in 1963 after being bought by American oil tycoon Robert P. McCullogh and shipped to Arizona.

It was put back together piece by piece in Lake Havasu City, a city founded by McCullogh himself, serving as a tourist attraction.

The reconstruction took three years and was completed in 1971.

The world’s first movie trailer was shown at a theater in Harlem, New York, in 1914.

The trailer, which promoted an upcoming movie featuring Charlie Chaplain, was shown after the movies which were shown at the theater.

The problem with the trailers showing after the film was that audience wouldn’t stay around to watch them, making the trailers rather ineffective.

On top of this, it’s been found that eight in ten men hate shopping with their partner.

Meanwhile, women don’t get tired of shopping until around 2 hours have passed!

Interestingly, it was also found that men who are promised some sort of treat at the end of the joint shopping trip were more likely to pretend at least to enjoy shopping with their partner.

So next time you see a couple at a retail store with a bored-looking boyfriend, you know they’ve been out for more than half an hour.

Whether you like it or not, the shortening of “you all” to “y’all” is here to stay.

For a long time, it was thought to have originated sometime in the 18th or even 19th centuries, but it turns out that it’s been in use for much longer.

In 1631, the English scholar William Lisle wrote the following in a book he wrote on Ethiopian history, of all things:

“The captive men of strength I gave to you, the weaker sold, and this y’all know is true.”
